Route Anton village - Mountain S...

The tourist route from Anton ( Anton municipality , province Sofia) during the hut " Mountain Springs " to lodge " Benkovski" starts from the station in the village and continues north , past farm buildings at its end. Then cross the road and Podbalkan follows the left bank of a small river , and in outbuildings located at the beginning of the hillside , the trail takes over the northeast.

This is where a relatively steep climb by the route outlined sharp turns , and when they do , the trail starts to the northwest and out of the flat meadow . To the west it descends steeply to the deep river gorge , surrounded by high cliffs . Path out of the Stara Planina ridge, from where wonderful views to the valley and Podbalkanska series peaks in the east and west . Here is the huge puddle area representing wavy meadow which many gushing springs. This is the reason this place built massive hut , the highest located throughout the Balkan Mountains , to bear the name " Mountain Springs " (1850 meters altitude ) . In the past, the entire ridge zaravnenie is used for alpine pastures , but now the intensity of the operation has been significantly reduced . It is built on one of the key points on the route " Kom - Emine " famous extreme weather changes , to offer shelter to tourists in extreme situations.

From " Mountain Springs " route to the hut " Benkovski" continues in an easterly direction along the winter , pillar marking , past picturesque fountain with many fountains , which was built near the recreation area . When it comes to the western foot of the rocky peak Tetevenska Baba ( 2,071 m ) , the path merges with the one that comes from the hut " Momina Polyana" , then reached cards ( 2,031 m ) .
