Route Pleven hut - Zhultets peak...

The route from the hut "Pleven" in the area Polenitsi, peak Zhultets and Peshta area has a circular path and returns to its starting point . It passes through some of the most spectacular places on the northern ridge of the Central Balkan Mountains and offers plenty of beautiful scenery and strong emotions among raw nature . The transition is quite difficult and passes through dangerous areas. If you are not sure of their abilities, it is preferable to contact the tourist office in the town of Republic , from providing transportation to hut "London " and experienced mountain guide for groups wishing to take the transition.

Hut "Pleven " ( located in the area Bazov share on the northern slopes of Central Stara Planina , 1504 m above sea level) , the route takes in a westerly direction along the well-trodden and marked in yellow and white path leading to the hut " Yavorova bow ." Goes mainly through open alpine pastures and after about two hours to reach the areas Large and Small Polenitsi , from where the route deviates by marking hut " Ambaritsa ."

The route leads to the south - southeast, along the phenomenon Brand slopes after serious and long climb on the western edge of Zhultets called breaststroke for specific rock formations, which is covered , out of the main Stara Planina ridge . Although little known to the " general public " Zhultets peak ( 2227 m ) is one of the most hard to reach in Central Balkan Mountains , and also in good weather offers stunning views of the North ( Balkan and Danube Plain ), South ( Sub-Balkan valley and Sub-Balkan ) Bulgaria and Stara Planina ridge to the west ( to Mt Levski ) and east ( to the highest peak Botev ) . In winter and late spring tip is extremely high avalanche risk , so it is not advisable to climb.

From Zhultets to return to hut "Pleven" is used path leading to the northeast , passing through avalanche chutes and out of the marked route in the area furnace . From the hut takes about an hour and a half with a normal move.
