Route Tuja hut - Botev peak

The tourist route from the hut " Taja " to Botev Peak (2,376 meters above sea level ) is one of the most popular climbing Stara planina . It is particularly preferred in winter due to its small difficulty (compared to those of the huts "Ray" and "Pleven " ) and the lack of avalanche danger , but it should be borne in mind that the area of the peak is foggiest and most windy throughout the country, so that potential hazards are present. Especially if you are aware that at the peaks Yurushka heap ( 2136 m ) and the ears are formed treacherous snowy peaks ...

However, the path from the hut " Taja " is well marked both summer and winter conditions and even during the winter months allows experienced hikers to enjoy the unimaginable beauty of the Central Stara Planina. After departure from the hut passes along a small power plant, located south of it , cross the river valley Taja and attaches a long but not very steep for the most part, the climb to the southwest .

The route crosses the beautiful old beech forest where winter form thick drifts, then hit the open grassland and shortcuts northwestern slopes of Mount Rusaliite ( 1893 m ) . After clearing the route takes Rusaliiska west and overcomes the displacement of about 200 meters , after an excellent cut and marked trail .

Peak Yurushka heap bypassing the south side , after which the route briefly follows Stara Planina ridge and describes a wide arc to subsections (again from the south ) peak Paradjika (also known as Paradzhikchal , 2209 m ) . This is the place where the trail turns northwest and out of the shelter " Marinka " south of Mount ears . Approximately 200 meters west- northwest from the shelter of a cold spring Marinka . Nearby are the sources of the river Golyama Buovitsa of which is situated one of the most beautiful waterfalls Bulgarian - Dry waterfall (95 meters).

By Marinka saddle path follows the main Stara Planina ridge to the west and overcomes the displacement of approximately 300 meters . Excellent mark should foot of Mount Malkia Yumruk ( 2340 m ) and then leads us to Botev Peak to the north .

In any season to take climbing the highest peak of the Balkan mountain hut " Taja " , you should be prepared for sudden changes in weather conditions. The other thing you should expect is the stunning beauty of the Central Balkans that will surprise you every time you get here ...
