Zhultets peak

Zhultets peak is located in the Central Balkan Mountains. This part of the mountain is alpine appearance , the peak reaches 2,227 meters above sea level. Mount Sarakaya as more famous among tourists is part of the " Route of Friendship ." These are the longest marked hiking hiking route in Bulgaria , the final leg of the European tourism route E3, which connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Black Sea.

In a good and clear weather Zhultets reveal impressive and stunning views across the North and South Bulgaria . Magnificent and beautiful the surrounding peaks - Turtle, Krustcite, Kupena and Levski .

Ridge of Mount Zhultets is grassed and northern and western slopes are steep . Northwest of the tip is separated impressive breaststroke comb composed of a series of vertical rock gendarmes . In the northern slopes are places big and small Polenitsi - extensive pasture for livestock and natural phenomenon " Brand batters ." Sarakaya can be conquered after a steep climb in the breaststroke . From Zhultets to Botev peak in all the way to the place Singing Rocks , the main ridge occupied by large , round pastures. The tip end of the plotted route crest Dobrila - Botev peak , which moves along the watershed of Troy and Kaloferska Mountain. Not recommended for use during the winter because it is avalanche risk . For climbers IV is a traverse of b category .

Immediately west of Zhultets visible Milky Chal peak , from which descends a marked winter and railing to Pleven hut . Immediately after the railing there is a small open space which offers a great view of the sharp , saw -like edges Zhultets . They are especially picturesque early morning or late afternoon sun shines on them you sideways .

Zhultets peak can be climbed in other ways . Some of the more popular routes are those of cabin good and Pleven hut . The transition to the starting point Dobrila lasts about 6 hours. Consistently climbed Ambaritsa ( Levski ) , Great Kupen, Krustcite and Turtles . Great Kupena peak is secured with a rope from the west and three to the east . In winter transition requires special skills and alpine equipment. If you choose Pleven hut as the beginning of the route , you will pass through the Milky Chal peak - the path is marked . Although it is secured with wire rope , it is recommended the use of cats and ice ax in the snow months. Once you hit the ridge peak Zhultets is located 20 minutes west and east goes to Botev shelter .
