This route is designed to acquaint visitors with both the most interesting sights of Balchik and the surrounding area as well as cultural events in the city. Therefore it is good to be informed in advance when going on big festivals, concerts, exhibitions and performances organized by the local government. You will be able to combine a visit to the permanent exhibition in touch blooded fresh and vibrant culture.

The starting point of the route was the Ethnographic House in Balchik. It is located on the "Dimitar Zhelev" 2 is housed in a restored Renaissance fundamental building that was built in the sixties of the XIX century was the home of a rich merchant of wheat. The exhibition presents its visitors as everyday objects wealthy Balchik citizens and artifacts related to the life of ordinary people in that era - tools, crafts, clothing, jewelry. There will also be traditional fabrics Dobrogea transmitting generational extraordinary sense of beauty and color harmony of the local women of that era.

From the route takes us to arguably the biggest attraction of Balchik - Architectural Park Complex "Palace". Created by Queen Mary during the occupation of southern Dobrogea, he combines influences from many architectural styles and eras, thus creating a unique atmosphere and attracts the attention of many tourists each year. The most beautiful palace is in spring and autumn, as the buildings of the complex are hidden among the lush vegetation of the Botanical garden in which plants grow by hundreds of thousands around the world.

Visit the antique and medieval castle in Balchik neighborhood "Horizon". It was built in the VI century BC, when the thriving village Dionisopolis located on the beach, was destroyed by the earthquake and subsequent landslide. For this reason, the surviving inhabitants decided to move a mile from the coast, situated high coastal plateau fort irregularly shaped, elongated in the direction north - south.

The area of the castle is the impressive 150 acres, so that is not yet fully explored. In previous excavations have revealed part of the city walls, defensive towers and gates. Over the centuries, the fort experienced its ups and downs to become an important stronghold during the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. Today, his story is presented through rich materials and information provided by the local administration tourist lectures and tours.

The last stop on this route is two burial types Tekke in Obrochishte (Balchik Municipality, Dobrich). This tourist site is relatively little known to the general public, but it is remarkable not only because it combines the cults of Muslim Alevi saint Jak Yazala Baba with that of Christian St. Atanas, but also because of the incredible beauty and serenity of the surroundings.

Tekke was built in the XVI century and quickly formed a large religious and economic center associated with Alevism - one of the Muslim sects. In the XIX century, it became a center where, besides Islamic Baba worshiped the Christian martyr St. Atanas. Currently the complex are preserved in the tomb grave Jak Yazala Baba and imaret with it.
