Price: "Path of Health" in the town of Bankia is well marked and defined, it is available to all travelers as well as families with young children. No need to know the route or area to take a trip on it. Transition is extremely easy with no major climbs or dangerous places.
The starting point is the town Bankya, and destination takes about 2 hours, the displacement between the lowest and the highest point is about 50-60 meters. Starting from the center to the Military Sanatorium . At first "Path to Health" leads right bank of the Gradomanska river, and then passes through the western part of the neighborhood " Gradoman ."
Here the route is drawn to the dam of the district " Mihaylovo " and then enter the area Bought Dol , where it passes through beautiful pine forest. This route crosses the former path and terrain , bypassing the area Standings hill ourselves in the old part of the bank, known as the Old Village.
Then ecotrail reaches "St. St. Kirik and Julita . " It is built on the site of the eponymous monastery situated here during the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. The iconostasis of the church is a monument of culture. The Orthodox Church celebrates the memory of the two saints on July 15. That is why this date are the temple festival and the Feast of Bankia .
Returning to the starting point can be done either by the above route or by an alternative route , which is also marked and identified properly . All along the transition passes through picturesque places in Lulin Mountain.
Due to their low level of difficulty , its proximity to the capital and its patency in all seasons , "Path of Health" is one of the preferred destinations for tourism in the outskirts of Sofia. It has great views to the big " sister " of Lulin - Vitosha vicinity of Bankia .
If you select a route , you can enjoy amazingly rich flora and fauna , especially considering how close you are to the urban environment. Best season for passing the "Path of health" are the late spring , summer and early autumn , but in good weather conditions , it is available all year round.
