House Museum Nikola Vaptsarov

The house museum "Vaptsarov" is one of the first museums in the Pirin region. It is located in Bansko, the central square, near the Town Hall.

The museum is housed in a house where the poet lived after 1912

The museum is dedicated to Vaptsarov (1909 - 1942), anti-fascist poet, whose remarkable work gives him a place among the most popular Bulgarian poets of the twentieth century.

Exposures of the museum present the ethnographic collection of the poet's life from childhood to his death, the work room of his mother Helena Vaptzarova, living room and parlor.

The entire museum is built on two floors - displayed original documents - birth certificate of the poet, testifies to the educational, personal seal of another Bulgarian poet - Peyo Yavorov old commercial notebook, notebook Vaptsarov, donated by his mother.

On the first floor of the museum is presenting films in English, French, German and Russian language Vaptsarov and a mural on the wall can be considered family tree of the poet and the other genera of Bansko.

The two rooms upstairs have traced the life of Vaptsarov after enrolling in the Marine Engineering School in Varna. Here is exposed and the award of the World Peace Council, which receives Vaptsarov posthumously in 1952
