Route Vihren hut - Demyanitsa hut

The starting point of this tourist route is one of the most visited and famous chalets in Pirin - "Vihren" (1950 meters altitude ) . It is the initial or intermediate point of much of the most attractive trekking in the second highest Bulgarian mountain. The chalet has place for nearly two hundred and offers all the comforts you need a real tourist. The easiest way to be reached on a 16 -kilometer asphalt road from Bansko.

Hut "Vihren" take the trail , which is marked in green and red. It should be borne in mind that the red mark leads to the shelter " Tevno lake " so that Jabeshkoto lake where the two routes split , it is necessary to continue the green markings. The route starts from the back of the cabin near the bridge over the river Bunderitsa . Trail to "Demyanitsa" continues to saddle premkata separating the Todorka peak( 2746 m ) and Vasilashki chukar ( 2615 m ) . Climbing saddle is very steep , short serpentine path describes the slope. From the track is literally dug into the steep slope of Mount Small Todorka and headed northeast to both Teddy lakes. The trail continues along the shores of Lower Vasilashko lake and reaches its outflow followed Vassilashki stream and reaches the marshy meadow Zhabarnika . Here the trail crosses the stream and began to descend in a rare but impressive forest of white fir . After a steep downhill track onto a path of "Demyanitsa " for shelter " Tevno lake ."
