Beloslavsko Lake is part of Varna and wetland complex , which is located close to Varna. Both lakes are interconnected by an artificial canal in 1923. Until this Beloslavsko lake was freshwater estuary as it flows into the Danube River and Provadiyska Devnia . Today it is saltwater with a salinity about 10%. Its area reaches 10 square kilometers and the depth to 14 meters. Its shores are low and overgrown with marsh vegetation.
