Kartala Ski resort

In high mountain gorge of the Rila Mountain is a ski center "Kartala ." It is accessible by asphalt road, 27 kilometers east of Blagoevgrad . The road to the resort was renovated with new asphalt and maintained in all seasons.

This combination of natural beauty and a very slight interference by man has created excellent conditions for recreation and sport during the warmer and the colder months. The proximity of the park " Parangalitza " is an added bonus that will make your experience unforgettable .

Summer tourism in this area can be developed in all varieties - total and recreation , hiking, eco- tourism, nature- cognitive , cultural and educational tourism . As for the snow sports ski center "Kartala" includes within its ski slopes with varied terrain and a total length of 5 km . They are suited for both beginners and more advanced skiers and snowboarders.

Six- gondola is available to tourists. It is the first station , departing from the ' cards' and a total length of rope line of 3000 meters. The upper lift station is located on the mountain ridge , from where a stunning panoramic view of the Pirin and Rila Mountains. Ski slopes for alpine skiing in length 2,200 meters and is part of the main track. For it can be used and a separate ski-lift . Displacement of this track is 370 meters. Beginners can use the bottom of the track , which has a very small slope and is very suitable for training . For the school run can be used independent tow rope with handles.
