Art Gallery Petko Zadgorski

Petko Zadgorski is perhaps the most famous Burgas artist and sculptor. Graduated painting in the class of Dimitar Gyudzhenov . For many years he was an art teacher in his hometown , and from over 60 years as chairman of Bourgas artists.

Petko Zagorski is the author of the famous sculptor Alexander Pushkin, considered one of the most identical sculptural portraits of Russian poet . The monument is at the Sea Garden of Bourgas .

Citizens of Burgas is the patron of the city art gallery. During the first twenty years of its existence, it is housed in the Exchange Hall of the Chamber of Commerce , and in September 1966 moved in the building of the former synagogue - one of the architectural landmarks of the city , built in 1909 designed by the Italian architect Ricardo Toscani . Its first director was the artist Todor Atanasov. Currently is Director Penka Sedlarska art critic .

The exhibition is arranged over three floors , and the gallery is composed of approximately 2,000 paintings, sculptures and graphic works of art. Possession of Burgas Art Gallery are works of Ivan Mrkvicka , Bencho Obreshkov, Zeno Todorov, Nikola Marinov, Zlatyu Boyadziev , Vladimir Dimitrov the Master, Dimitar Gyudzhenov , Ilia Petrov , Stoyan Venev , Mara Tsoncheva , Assen Vassilev, Dechko Uzunov , Vasil Stoilov, Svetlin Roussev , Vladimir Goev, George Bozhilov , Dimitar Kirov , Atanas Yaranov, Encho Pironkov , Yoan Leviev .

Gallery "Petko Zadgorski " store valuable paintings from Strandja established between 15 and 20 century. The collection has works by Zachary Zograph, Dimitar Zograph, Yoan Zograph of Ahtopol, from Sozopol Socrates Georgiev , T. Zograph from Chios , Nicola Zograph from Edirne.
