Museum of Natural Science is located in northern Bulgaria, 12 kilometers southeast of the town. In 1965, a local biology teacher Iliya Iliev with his students started collecting animal and plant species. For the purposes of biology classes are stuffed animals that can be found in the Balkan Mountains. Gradually collection, arranged in the corridors of the school, is growing in the spring of 1976 he moved to a new building. From 1 January 1977 the collection became a branch of the Historical Museum in Lovech and a separate museum was formed in 1992 It is situated in the National park "Central Balkan", so one of the museum with pictures are natural attractions in the area. The two floors of the Natural History Museum are kept more than 700 exhibits. Exposed are over 25 types of stuffed mammals, and walk among the exhibits is voiced by audio recordings of animal sounds. In glazed windows are fish, amphibians and reptiles that live in the Central Balkan Mountains. Great interest is to the collections of insects and over 120 different bird species. The museum is open every day but lunch is between 12 and 13h.

The building of the Natural History Museum in Cherni Osam is housed Conservation Data Center of the National Park "Central Balkan". In the area of the village is the reserve "walls".
