Chiprovtsi monastery

Chiprovtsi monastery is situated at the foot of Yazova Mountain (part of Western Stara Planina) in the valley of the River Chiprovtsi on 6 km of townChiprovtsi and 30 km west of Montana. Chiprovtzi monastery can be reached via exit on the road between the villages Belimel and Jelezna. The nearest railway station is Montana. Currently Chiprovtsi monastery is a permanent and a complex of church, two chapels, three-storey bell tower, residential and farm buildings. The Interesting building Chiprovtsi Monastery is a 3-story tower ossuary. In its ground floor store the bones of monks and killed in Chiprovsko uprising.
