Route Chuipetlovo - Selimitsa hut

The starting point of the route " Chouipetlovo - hut " Selimitsa " " is located in the village center , the bus station. With its 1,200 m altitude, Chouipetlovo ( Pernik Municipality ) is the highest settlement in the territory of Vitosha and the first settlement , which coincides with the Struma River after their springs . Due to its strategic location the village serves as a starting point for a number of tourist routes. From here you can climb to the highest peak of Vitosha Black Peak (2290m ​​) in an unmarked trail to reach nearby villages and Kladnitsa Yarlovo or visit the longest cave complex in the Balkans - Duhlata near the village Bosnek .

From the bus stop route headed to the village church and started to climb upstream of a small tributary of the Struma River . In fact , the route in this area is its wide dirt road , so there is no danger of stray or lost. The road enters the beautiful forest by repeatedly transferred from one to the other bank of the stream.

At the end of the forest is called . Vucha fountain where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful views of the countryside . After being out in the open , the route takes us to the saddle east of Cross Peak ( 1,561 m ) , which is also the highest point on the route . Here is also spectacular panoramas of the valley east of the Struma River , the band peaks surrounding Black Peak to the north and south - the Petruskiya share of Vitosha and Rila Verila .

From the saddle the path descends to the valley Matnitsa , following the bed of her left tributary . At the foot of the saddle is located Sword fountain, where again you can stop for a rest. Before you reach the river valley , the route runs along another fountain - Dain well. From hut " Selimitsa " reaches a wide dirt road next to the bed Matnitsa which leads to Kladnitsa village , located about two hours away .
