Devetaki Lake is one of the few natural karst lakes in Bulgaria . Located at an altitude of 118 to 432 meters in Devetashko plateau between the river Rositsa and Osam River . Devetashko plateau is made of limestone, sandstone , highly deforested , with numerous whirlpools , caverns , caves and caverns . Breathtaking scenery in one place !

Devetaki lakes are about 39 in number, they are formed in the bottoms of karst whirlpools . But as fed only by rain and snow , many of them often fail , swamping others . Depends on climatic conditions. The largest of them are Geranishte area ( 1.2 to 3.8 ha) Dedevets (2.1 to 3.3 ha) and Sinovishte ( 0.65 to 1.9 ha). Some lakes even have been converted into fishponds ( Aleksandrovski hatcheries , fish farms Ivanova, mound Varbovski hatcheries , fish farms Gradishte Butovski ponds , pond Gyurgenlika ) . Keen fishermen often use Devetashka lakes to practice their hobby . Interesting is the fact that the lake Dedevets in the past has been used to supply water to the village Devetaki .

Devetashko plateau has great potential for tourism, because in itself accommodates a wide variety of natural forms and reliefs . Besides the numerous number Devetashka lakes in the north are located karst springs - white water, black water , Krushuna springs around them can be seen travertine terraces. Krushuna waterfalls are one incredibly hot tourist destination in recent years. Near the village is there Devetaki rock pyramids . And only two kilometers from the village on the right bank of the river Osam is located Devetashka cave - a top destination for lovers of ecological tourism , one of the largest caves in Bulgaria .
