Dobrich Zoo

Dobrich Zoo is located in the district of Druzhba 700 meters from Central Park and a mile from downtown. It was built in 2002 , having previously been found elsewhere , but due to restructuring , the animals were moved to the current zoo. Animals are isolated from the external environment , as they provide maximum comfort and near -native environment. All it is the result of a joint long-term activity of the Centre for the Protection of Nature and Animals ( CPNA ) in the city and a group of specialists from the town of Schaffhausen , Switzerland . So the zoo is fully consistent with EU requirements. The total project has set a wide range of joint cooperation , a task to build a zoo where the animals are placed in a free , close to their , natural environment. The aim is to preserve and selected animal and plant species typical of southern Dobruja and eventually disappear to be replaced . In front of the park is the administrative building , there is also a small cafe where you can also get information on some species. Animals are housed in enclosures where there is enough space . To each enclosure with animal has attached plaque with information about the type , what to eat and where to be seen . Constant can be seen and the people who care about animals. They clean them and give them food. It is formed and a large lake ( 1,200 square meters ) of waterfowl species, tree houses and necessary conditions for nesting . In 2007 and opened a new tower on 3 levels , for monitoring of the entire animal world of her. Special attention is directed to the formation of children's playgrounds in the zoo . For the pleasure of the smallest available : walk in the park with wooden carts , games, horse riding, etc. . Organized and scout camp, whose activists take on the bulk of care for its inmates in the animal world . The scout was built separate and complex bivouac . Animal diversity in Zoo Region is rich and constantly growing. Here are housed over 100 animals of 30 species : deer, llamas, mouflon , bears , horses Przewalski , buffalo , monkeys , goats, tsakeli , alpacas (small camels ) gift from Zurich Zoo, washable bear , a variety of birds and many others. Dobrich Zoo is one of the most popular and visited places because it is very pleasant for walking and recreation . Many of the animals can be touched a little and green areas during the warmer months they moved into a different world , away from the city bustle and close to the natural world .
