Route Ethnographic Museum - Ethn...

The starting point of this route is the Ethnographic museum in the open air "Old Dobrich", located on the "Dr. Konstantin Stoilov" 18. It is located in the center of the modern city, the largest in the interior of northeastern Bulgaria, replacing of Renaissance Odun bazaar. You keep and develop crafts that were characteristic of the Dobrogea region in the era of the Bulgarian Revival. 

In over thirty workshops hereditary masters made ​​embroidering traditional products, pottery, blacksmithing, weaving, homespun, cooperage and goldsmith. In the center of the complex was restored picturesque old clock tower of XVIII century, which is now available for visitors and impresses with its size and with its aesthetic merits. 

The "Old Dobrich" is covered and a permanent exhibition entitled "Archaeology of Dobrogea." In it you can see several collections depicting the history of this beautiful region from ancient times right up until today. Here you can see a treasure that claims to contain the oldest processed gold objects in the world, burial artifacts from the largest prehistoric cemetery in the country, this part of the west coast of Durankulashko lake, and a large collection of Bulgar ceramics. In the exposition center is presented side (room for teacher and classroom) of the mutual first school in Dobrich. 

The last stop on this route was the Ethnographic House in Dobrich, located on the street "Alen Mak" 5 next to Architectural-Ethnographic Complex and the church "St. George", the oldest in Dobrich. Museum is housed in was built in 1861 the home of a wealthy merchant and presents bits of dobrudzhantsi Revival. 

The interior is intertwined "a la franga" - modern and considered at the time of progressive Western influence and traditional Balkan and oriental culture elements. In the museum are kept many artifacts from everyday life, showing how dobrudzhantsi lived over a century ago. You can feel the spirit of the Renaissance, then stroll along the beautiful center of Dobrich.
