The starting point of this route is the largest preserved military cemetery in Bulgaria, Butirski situated in the northern part of Dobrich (boulevard "September 25" 53). It keeps the remains of soldiers who died during the fighting in Dobrogea in WWI. More specifically associated with the battles for the city in 1916 and have been buried more than three thousand troops from seven nations - Bulgarians, Russians, Serbs, Jews, Romanians, Germans and Turks.

Not attach importance to the ethnic origin and religious beliefs in 1922 Dobrich citizens raise funds and raise ossuary chapel "St. Archangel Michael" whose iconography is the work of local painter Nicolas Tahtunov. In 2003 there were found Commemorative alley with flags of each country, Butirski which have casualties from the epic battles for Dobrich and exposure "the Dobrich epic 1916".

The next landmark to which this leads us to the military history of the recent past route, the Russian army monument, located on the outskirts of Dobrich. It was erected in 1879 to preserve for future generations the memory of those who died during the Russo-Turkish War of Liberation fighters from Rizhski, Butirski Belevski, Butirski Tula, Butirski Tarutinski, Butirski Borodin, Butirski Ryazan, Butirski and Moscow infantry regiments of cavalry from Kinburg and Belorussian Hussar regiments and soldiers of the fifteenth, Butirski sixteenth, Butirski seventeenth and eighteenth Cossack squadrons.

Our next stop was again associated with the memory of the Russian soldiers who died during the Liberation War. It was built in 1901 and is currently located near the monument Asparoukh. It is dedicated to the fallen in the battles for Dobrich, held between 17th and 27th January 1878.

Last destination of the route is the Monument of 53 Russian soldiers and two officers Basil Kotelnikov and Anton Brondzinski from 67 Infantry
Tarutin Regiment who died in the northern part of the city, where in 1878 was situated so-called Black battery of the enemy army. Although lately the worship of foreign troops on Bulgarian territory, the route is definitely of great interest for the curious, studying military history of northeastern Bulgaria.
