Price: Ecopath " Dryanovski Monastery - Bojentsi " offers an amazing experience for tourists decided to pass on it, whichever place you choose as the starting point . The lighter version is if you go from the village to the monastery , as in the majority of the route you will go down .
Bojentsi was founded in the XVI century. According to legend was founded by Turnovo noble Bojana and her brothers , who settled here after long wandering in the folds of the Central Balkan. Biggest rise it was during the Renaissance.
It was then appear and typical village beautiful, spacious and " perched " on the slopes houses, currently its main tourist attraction. Bozhentsite is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Gabrovo . Besides spectacular scenery and impressive architecture , the village is attractive to tourists and reconstruction of a number of traditional customs.
The village trail is about 1 kilometer asphalt road to Gabrovo, then drops and is directed to the vicinity of Trapezkovtsi , bypassing the village from the east. Subsequently, the route climbs the ridge shortcutting Black Peak ( 779 meters ) . This is definitely the most difficult stretch of the eco-trail , if the starting point is your Bozhentsite . To the west , in the next valley , the village remains Tsvyatkovtsi .
From scenic route follows forest road from the village and Kmetovtsi Sabotkovtsi as shortcuts peak mound ( 711 m ) . Turning to the north , reaching a hunting fountain, near which there is a gazebo with benches and tables, allowing us to relax in the beautiful scenery of Gabrovo Balkan.
Ecopath " Dryanovski Monastery - Bojentsi " still winds through scenic forests, located east of the peak three chukar ( 665 meters ) and reached the Big Bochukovska meadow , where after a short climbs a ridge , which boasts spectacular views of some of the highest peaks of the Stara Planina.
We go through almost deserted village of Upper Varpishta , then go out in the eastern suburbs Dolni Varpishta . This is where the karst area characterized by hundreds of larger and smaller caves. After about half an hour to reach the transition Boruna castle , picturesquely situated on the eponymous rock cliff above Dryanovski monastery. The cliff is an impressive view located in a deep ravine monastery Dryanovska River and River Andaka .
