Full name of eco-trail is "Yovkovtsi Dam" - Gradishteto area - Sadinata village - Bagalevtsi village " but nature lovers in Elena it is known for its extreme points " Yovkovtsi " - Bagalevtsi" . This is one of the least used routes , even by passionate hikers, but do not be fooled . Its relatively low popularity is not due to low attractiveness or difficult terrain and the lack of sufficient information about it.

The starting point of the eco-trail is located on the bridge of "Yovkovtsi" , which in itself is one of the most beautiful creations of the human hand in Bulgaria . Calm , as if silent waters of the facility is the focal point for nature lovers and especially fishing from near and far . The dam is one of the largest in the country , and around it has developed a real resort with guest houses , hotels and places of recreation and entertainment.

From " Yovkovtsi " path is directed to Gradishteto . In places the transition is steep, but generally its difficulty is not particularly large . From the top , where you can be seen the remains of an ancient Roman fortress , commanding amazing views of the valley Elena . Is down to Sadinata located about a kilometer from the lake . Passes through the village Vesselina River , which was built " Yovkovtsi ." It offers ideal spots for sunbathing and fishing.

Places through which ecotrail are rich in herbs, wild flowers , rare trees and plants , endangered animals. After leaving the village sadist route follows the scenic course of mirth. Pass through ancient forests , the river sweeping turns jumping on rocky bottom with a calm stuck in boiling places. The transition is not heavy , tourists usually do not understand when they took passage to the village Bagalevtsi , busy in the abundance of natural beauty .

Bagalevtsi is an old village , the Renaissance is one of the pillars of the local culture and education. There's a school since 1830 , and many of its inhabitants have left permanent traces in Bulgarian history from that period.

The whole transition takes about four hours in a calm way. It's best to take hiking during the warmer months , not stay unpleasantly surprised by the elements.
