Fountain of White-legged Area

When arrive in Harmanli first visit landmark attraction - "Fountain of White-legged." This cultural-historical monument is located at the eastern end of the Municipality. Legend has it that during the Ottoman rule this land lived a beautiful Bulgarian Gergana. It is famous not only for its glorious beauty, but with a modest behavior and dignified demeanor. These qualities of the Bulgarian girl amazed even the Ottoman vizier. This beautiful girl was the reason for building the white fountain near the fountain, took its name. Unspoiled beauty and dignity of Vladimir became the inspiration for the great Bulgarian poet Slaveykov, author of the beautiful poem "Spring of the White-legged." Today, this place stands a large fountain built, and next to it there is a stone slab with a verse from the eponymous poem. The fountain stands a statue depicting a slender silhouette of White-legged Gergana. The area is suitable for a stroll or picnic.

At the end of September in the area are held yearly festivals of culture.
