Karnobat - Art Gallery Bencho Ob...

AG " Bencho Obreshkov " in CC "Dimitar Polyanov" Karnobat was officially opened in October 1972. Initiative Atanas Zhekov - artist , born and raised in KARNOBAT graduate painting at the Art Academy in Sofia, a member of the UBA. Individuals with true patriotic spirit began to work for the realization of this idea. They created from 1970 to 1972 art collection of 133 works - all donations. The aim is art to be accessible to the citizens and guests of the Municipality. Since 1989 the Art Gallery named born in KARNOBAT world famous Bulgarian artist Bencho Obreshkov .

Today AG "B. Obreshkov " has its own showroom and storage areas . Operates more than 400 works - drawings, sculptures , paintings, cartoons , works of applied art . The majority of the works are donations. Proudly presented in exhibitions of paintings Fund Bencho Obreshkov Zdravko Alexandrov , Atanas Zhekov Nencho Roussev , Roland Shneevays , watercolors Vasil Stoilov, graphics Preslav Karshovski others. Rightful place in the art collection of works occupy Karnobat artists Ivan Vodev , Fame Kozhuharov , Alexi Denev Simeon Marinov and others.
