World archeology are few known gold masks. From Mycenae , Tibenishte ( Lake Ohrid ) and Sindos ( to Solun) . None of them did not like the mask , found in Mound Svetitsata . As they are made of thin gold foil and weight is relatively low , the golden mask of King Teres is made of thick gold sheets, 23.5 -carat gold and weighs approximately 673 grams .

Unique find near Shipka happened in the summer of 2004. The expedition was led by Prof. Georgi Kitov . According to archaeologists, the find could be valued at several million dollars. One theory is that the mound is the tomb of a famous king Odryssian - Teres lived in 440-480 BC Since the mask is found in the place where you stand head buried face up , pinned with a large stone slab , assuming that it is used for the phial. Indented on the plane is sitting naked man with a strong musculature , with very long, marked by two thin lines subject - oars of a boat or copies . With realistic human body and well- delivered wild curly hair author has achieved a spectacular composition. The workmanship of the ring is fine , but its weight is 15 grams. This is one of the largest Thracian rings found so far.

The third finding is unique armor of bronze. Completely preserved , it seems the human body.

As for the grave itself in the Svetitsata , it clearly reflects the religious worldview of the Thracians. The grave has dimensions of 178 cm and 316 cm is made of stone slabs lining . It is covered with 6 large stone rectangular form . Red and black rim surrounding the tomb symbolizes the border between life and death.
