Kiustendil - House-museum Ilio V...

The house -museum " Ilyo Voivoda " a permanent museum exhibition at the Regional History Museum Kyustendil. Housed in a house where lived the famous revolutionary Iliyo Voyvoda volunteer detachment commander in the Russo-Turkish war of 1877-1878.

In the restored house of Ilyo there is an exhibition entitled " National liberation struggles of people from Kyustendil ." It follows the struggles of the Bulgarian from the XV century to the Liberation and its contribution to the liberation and unification of the Bulgarian nation in the late XIX and early XX century.

Collection is housed in six rooms on an area of ​​150 square meters and contains around 800 exhibits. It follows the national liberation expressions of people in Kyustendil region to the liberation of Bulgaria .
