House-Museum Dimcho Debelianov

In that town is the birthplace of the most gentle poet of Bulgaria - Dimcho Debelyanov. The house-museum covered in his birthplace Koprivshtitsa is situated in a picturesque courtyard, in the shade of majestic pines. The house was built by the grandfather of Dimcho in 1830 and it is a small two-storey building in a spacious quiet courtyard. It has a very low ceiling on the ground floor, which is indicative of low growth in its inhabitants on the one hand and on the other a humble life they led. This part of the house was used in the winter, which here is very cold and long. The furniture and layout are authentic in style and typically Koprivshtitsa add warmth and comfort. The second floor of the house has a large porch, which has benefited from the family during the summer months. Among the objects presented here can be seen rocking a native poet, very old books, desks and more.

In the yard today lies one of the most beautiful monuments in Bulgaria - the masterpiece of Professor Ivan Lazarov "Monument of the mother."
