Radetski an Austrian passenger ship, built in 1851 and intended for regular trips on the Danube between Galatz and Orshova ports. Called to the Field Marshal Joseph Radetzky.
Steamship "Radetzky" is memorable for the Bulgarian history, as it is used for illegal crossing of the detachment of Hristo Botev in Bulgaria from Romania. On May 16 and May 17, 1876 Radetski engaged on a voyage to Vienna and focuses on a number of Romanian ports.
On deck it, disguised as ordinary passengers from several ports rebels picked himself leader Hristo Botev. He served on the master a written ultimatum to enter the Bulgarian coast near Kozloduy, and utters the memorable phrase: "You listen to my will ..". On this ship first class Botev wrote his immortal letter to his wife, Veneta and their infant children, his daughter Ivanka was only 40 days. Ultimatum is full and the detachment of Hristo Botev descends on Bulgarian soil.
Steamer was used until 1918, and in 1924 was scrapped and destroyed. In the early 1960's in Bulgaria is emerging initiative for his recovery - were collected voluntary donations among students and workers and between 1964 and 1966 has built a replica of the ship, having used old drawings and photographs. On the eve of the 90th anniversary of the death of Botev ship was officially opened and declared a museum. Today is part of a hundred tourist sites. Today thousands of tourists annually to follow the path of Botev, until Okolchitsa peak.
