Kordopulova house is the biggest house in the Balkans, preserved during the Renaissance. It is located in the eastern part of Melnik. It was built by a rich family Kordopulova Melnik in 1754 once its owners were one of the largest producers and wine merchants. Sold are red potion in Budapest, Vienna, Venice, Paris. Even Winston Churchill has ordered 500 liters each year of the famous wines of this region.

The ground floor is the place where it is brewed wine-cellar. Here for 12 years digging tunnels whose labyrinths are about 200 meters long in these cellars was aged between 250 and 300 tons of wine. On the second floor lived the house owners. The third floor was a welcome guest, but for transactions. On this floor has a sauna. She is now preserved in the same form that was once. Big guest room is notable for its interesting mix windows of Venetian and Oriental style.

Kordopulova house museum, cuddled like a pearl in the nature of Melnik. From the winter garden of the house there are panoramic views over Melnik.

The house museum is working every day, and the owners will show you and tell you many interesting details about the history of this magical place.
