Drama Theatre " Dragomir Asenov " is a cultural center in Montana.

The theater was founded in 1962 and is named Dragomir Asenov , playwright, born in Montana. The first play presented by the newly created Theatre is "Every autumn evening " by Ivan Peychev . Consistent status of the theater changes from municipal to state and municipal again until 1969 . Theatre toured in almost all villages in the region and in several Bulgarian cities. Cooperate with theaters in the Western suburbs .

Theatrical reforms from the late 90s forced the theater in 1998 to shorten the entire creative staff - actors, directors, set designers . A year later he received the status of "Stage 6 " without own production and are released almost all of the employees. In 2006 the theater was restored again with many new actors.
