Route Obrochishte village - Balc...

The starting point of this pilgrimage route is Obrochishte (Balchik Municipality, Dobrich). Here goes to located adjacent turban (muslim holy place with rooms for wandering pilgrims) called Teke. In the past, the village is the same name as the religious center had gathered immense popularity and dervishes and other Muslims from near and far.

Turban itself was built in the early sixteenth century. According to some historical records building is connected with the activity of the Bektashi spiritual leader Jak Yazala Baba. After the liberation of the Muslim population in northeastern Bulgaria gradually emigrated, and in its place came Bulgarian refugees from Thrace. One of the main attractive forces here was precisely turban which were the glory of the place during the visit of a person can be saved from disease or life woes.

The next stop on the route is the temple of the goddess Cybele, which was discovered during construction work in 2007. The religious structure is preserved in excellent condition, although partially destroyed several times and built more than twenty-three centuries. Here are preserved many statues and stone stelae with inscriptions that give extensive information about household habits and customs of the Thracians inhabited northeastern Bulgaria. According to many scholars this temple is one of the epochal discoveries not only in the Balkans but also in Europe.

Here is taken by car or dedicated transport to the town of Balchik, where should visit the church "Saint Nicholas" (on "Hristo Botev" 44). It was built in 1845, along with the entire complex around it, including bell Renaissance school and a small park near the temple. He represents the white stone basilica, which is the largest religious center in the territory of the coastal city. The last stop on the route is a small but very neat and beautiful church "St. George", located only a few minutes of "Saint Nicholas" (on "Black Sea" 30). After the tour you can pull one of Balchik beaches or cool off in any of the numerous bars and restaurants.
