Protected area Irakli

Irakli is a protected area, located near the village of Emona, Nessebar. It is 9 km from Obzor, 3 km from Banya, about 20 km from Byala and 70 km south of Varna. At one end of the beach there are bungalows of different institutions, the remaining coast is known for its virgin nature and clean environment, which can`t be seen almost anywhere along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Here grow unique plants that are listed in the Red Book of Bulgaria and are protected under the Biodiversity Act.

The infrastructure in Iraq is not well developed and therefore this destination more attractive to young people. Irakli is ideal for those who are seeking different and unforgettable experiences of the summer vacation away from the noisy discos and cheeky tourists. If you plan to visit Irakli for a few days you have two options-you can stay in bungalows nearby or take a tent and spend the days swimming, sunbathing and slumbered, lost in the sounds of the waves.

In Irakli is an annual celebration of July Morning, which has become a tradition. Hundreds of young (and not so young) people from all over the country, travel there on the evening of 30th June, to meet the first rays of sun on 1 July. The view is really fascinating as the first of July the sun rises exactly in the sea.
