Smrikite Beach is located a few kilometers south of the resort town of Obzor near the protected area of Iraq. Has a length of about one kilometer and is sheltered between capes Small St. Petra (to the north) and Grand St. Peter (to the south), which protect it from the winds and ocean currents. For this reason, during most of the time the water here is very calm with very little excitement caused by the pleasant breeze that cools sunbathers.
Beach is quite wide standards for the area. This makes it an ideal place for free camping. You can stretch your tent on a quiet spot and enjoy the harmony, peace and beautiful nature. Since Smrikite is available only on foot or by sea, not by car, it is much beloved of people who prefer solitude to the noisy and crowded seaside resorts.
The name of the beach due to the fact that it is located right next to the protected area "Smrikite" proclaimed to protect the natural habitat of rare plant red pirakanta. The place is sunny, the impression of detachment from the world, although it is less than an hour walk from the overview, and is known to very few tourists.
The only downside to juniper beach, the seabed around it is covered with boulders, which in the rough seas hamper entry into the water. Here it is clean and clear, and the very bottom is sloping. No treacherous currents and whirlpools. Despite its minor flaws, juniper is one of the last unspoilt beaches on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, which is an indispensable asset for lovers of harmony and peace.
