The village of Orehovo is a lovely Bulgarian village, located in the middle of the Rhodopi mountain, 60 miles away of Plovdiv. It is situated on the steep left bank of the River Oreshica. The location in the mountains and landscapes, ancient green forests and fresh air, create wonderful opportunities for mountain, ecological tourism and recreation among nature. In the Orehovo village there is a tourist information centre, where you can get guidance for your stay, as well as a variety of routes from the village to various attractions. In Orehovo and in its surroundings there are over 20 chapels, which makes it appropriate for religious tourism. Through the village passes the longest home trail, which begins in the village of Hvoina and came to Greece. The village is the base for the huts Kabata and Persenk.

In the area around Orehovo has an abundance of natural attractions near the waterfall is in the locality of Duplevo, West of the village is located in the Rocky Gorge of the Oreshica over the Walnut. the water is pouring out picturesquely in front of the entrance of the cave "The big hole". Another picturesque waterfall is Skakaloto, which is 2 km south of Orehovo, on the road to hut Persenk. It has 1 trail, which runs steeply down before a left bend on the road. Here is located the rock phenomenon Bone stone. This is a colossal rock, resembled a huge wall, above which grows a centuries-old spruce forest. It is located 4 km southwest of the village. There is a natural waterfall over a large rock niche with a height of 30 m drop, which lends grandeur of the place. Vaklite holes -located 7 km south of the village (2 km south of the locality "Kabata"). These interesting rock niches are declared to be a natural phenomenon. At closeness are Chudnite Mostove. 15 km from Orehovo and village Narechenski Bani. The combination of mineral springs and beautiful scenery make the Narechenski Bani is one of the most favorite places for rest and treatment. 5 km. before the Narechenski Bani is located the fortress "Zarenitsa". It is on the banks of the River Lyutidol and it is embroidered. 38 km south of Orehovo is Pamporovo.

From the village to the Persenk hut can be reached by foot along the marked trail for about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Kabata Chalet is about 3 hours from the village of Orehovo. From the hut for an hour and a half can reach the hut Chudnite Mostove and for two hours to hut Rock bridges. Paths are marked.
