Orlova Chuka Cave is located about 40 km from Rousse, near the village of ash. The cave was discovered in 1941 by a shepherd who grazed his flock in the region. It is believed to have been inhabited by humans during the Paleolithic and the Copper Age.
In 1959 Orlova Chuka were built 124 stone steps, is punctured or artificial tunnel which serves as input. Today visitors are accessible and illuminated about 3 km from the cave of around 13 km. In galleries 8 species of bats live, one of which - a squeaky bat, which is unique for Europe type.
On the artificial input of Orlova Chuka enter the first cave room. Is called the "Concert" for its good acoustics because it often concerts, and every year in August, during the council of the cave is exported and festive concert. The "Grand Gallery", located west of the "Concert Hall", there are many beautifully landscaped sinter lakes. The biggest and utilities room in the cave is the "Big scree." The walls are sinter formations, which, if you look, you can discern interesting shapes, like a snake, a ball player and more. By "Big scree" is located hall "Small talus." On the West of the main gallery starts a tunnel at the end of which is located the "Cosmic" hall.
Shooting is allowed in the cave, but is forbidden to light a fire, disturbance of animals inhabiting the cave, and visit galleries unimproved cave. According to visitors, one of the most beautiful places in the cave is a spring with its extremely white stalagmites. The cave is entered only with a guide that is included in the price of admission. The cave is open only from early April until the end of October and the tour lasts about 40-50 minutes.
