Banderishki lakes

Banderishki lakes are 16 lakes of glacial origin located in Bandereshki cirque in the central parts of the northern Pirin . Frog pond highest one in the group ( 2322 m ) , is located in the southern slope of Mount Small Todorka . The lake has no obvious swelling and became home to many tadpoles , hence its name . Its shores are even popular destination, attracting many tourists throughout the year because of the unique panoramic view , which reveals to Muratov peak. It is a starting point to Vihren , Demianitza and Tevnoto lake. Long Lake ( 2310 m asl ) , also referred to above , is located about 1000 meters north of Mount Banderishki chukar . Its area reaches 45.5 acres and the depth of 10 meters. Is very beautiful , and its location at the sides of the valley makes it attractive with its peace and quiet . Banderishko Fish Lake ( 2190 m asl ) is the highest in the group - an area of ​​65 acres and a depth of 12.2 m . It is also called big or bottom . It is very impressive : on its west coast is a small peninsula covered with squat , and south down the river, which separates it from the basin of Long Lake . Muratovo Lake is another lake emblematic of the group of Banderishki lakes. Located in Muratov peak ( 2230 m asl ) on a well-marked mountain terrace.
