Mitrovo and Argirovo Lake

Mitrovo and Argirovo Lake are lakes of glacial origin located in Demirkapiyskiya cirque in Pirin Mountain. Very often they are called Demirkapiyski lakes because eponymous circus in which they are formed. Two basins are surrounded by rocky peaks of Mount Kamenica , King's Yard , Jano, Chengelchal and Demirchal . Swellings give them the beginning of the river Bistrica .

Argirovo Lake is the smaller of the two, but instead it is set higher. Located below the tops of the wheels and Chengelchal 2365 m altitude. Its area reaches 6.90 acres . Mitrovo Lake is located 2,291 meters above sea level on the slopes of Mount Kamenica . Characterized by a slightly curved shape and its dimensions reach almost 45 acres with a length of 200 meters and a width of up to 275 meters. Both lakes are not inferior in any of the other groups glacial lake in Pirin. Beauty and purity of the mountain and alpine flavor and would have fulfilled the soul of every lover of mountain scenery and panoramic views. Along Mitrovo and Argirovo lake passes the path of Pirin hut towards Bezbog and Popovo Lake. So if you wish to visit the lakes , you can use Pirin hut as a starting point . Another option to approach the lakes can be Tevno lake. It will reach Demirkapiyskite lakes for nearly an hour and a half walk . If you want and have the free time you can visit the nearby Kremenski lakes and peaks King's Yard ( 2680 m asl ) , Momin yard ( 2725 m asl ) and Jano ( 2668 m n . century) .
