Tevno Lake and Nearest Sites

One of the most beautiful places in the higher parts of the Pirin is the region around Lake Tevno. Starting points are the lake Bansko, Sandanski and Dobrinishte. If you go from Bansko get to Demianitza hut and from it in Mozgovishka port will get for 3 hours. From Dobrinishte get to Gotse Delchev, then on the lift to chalet Bezbog and there after 3:00 are the lake. Another route is through Sandanski to hut Begovitsa and to Tevnoto lake is 3 hours. If you go from hut Pirin after about 3 and a half hours you will reach the lake and shelter.

The most popular route is from Bezbog. After the first stage of the transition, which is very light and suitable for inexperienced tourists reach unique Popovo lake, over which are five majestic peaks. Here you can relax. The next goal is Kraledvorski circus, but this transition becomes a little more difficult. Begin to move on the large rock slope increases. Shelter "Tevno Lake" is located on the eastern shore of Lake with a unique view of one of the most beautiful peaks - Kamenica. There is a dining room and a well stocked kitchen and buffet.

Shelters have permanent staff in the period from May to November and the winter season by appointment on weekends. The unique location of the shelter and incredible landscapes define its presence in large parts of Pirin routes and make it a destination of choice for many Bulgarian and foreign tourists. In the region you can make camping and sleep in a tent.

From the hut "Tevnoto lake" you can make short trips to the peaks Valyavishki chukar, Momin yard and garden Kralev for about 30 minutes. Climbing Mount Kamenica takes 2 hours, Zhangal hour and 30 minutes. Nearby are the beautiful fairy Fairy lakes and Popovo lake.
