Vlahini lakes, known as Vlahinski Lakes are a group of five lakes, located in the Pirin Mountains , between Vihren and rid Gredaro . Of them originated Vlahinska . The name of the lakes is associated with Vlahi because they are located in its territory. Vlahina lakes are far from the main tourist routes and were not seriously investigated , so their information is not complete . However, they are very beautiful and do not go unnoticed by nearby peaks such as Vihren and saddle Kabata .
Vlahina great lake is the second highest in the group , located 2,302 meters above sea level. With its area of 63.4 hectares and a depth of 13.4 m , it becomes part of the ten largest and deepest lake in Pirin Mountain. Just below it, on a well-marked terrace, is the second of the Vlahina Lakes ( 2300 m asl ), which is relatively small - 3 acres . The third lake is located 300 meters from the Great Vlahina lake and is characterized by an elongated shape and shallowness - only 80 cm . Fourth Lake is the lowest one in the group - 2,291 meters above sea level and an area of 10 acres . The last , fifth lake is the smallest - just 1.2 acres . Located 2340 meters above sea level northwest of third Vlahinsko lake. In all lakes have trout. A very beautiful mountain landmark .
