This is the only monument of its kind on the Balkan Peninsula. Created in honor of the 100th anniversary of the liberation of Bulgaria from Ottoman rule. It is built on a hill located near the Skobelev Park Museum, next to the Turkish redoubt Kovanlak where during the third storm of Pleven kept some of the bloodiest battles. In the panorama are recreated events of the Russo-Turkish War of 1877/78 and the Pleven Epic. Paintings exhibited in four halls, are the work of 11 Russian and 2 Bulgarian artists.

The perfect combination of historical facts with their artistic reproduction on canvas panoramic leave an unforgettable impression. The visitor is transported back in 1877 and in the middle of the battlefield on 11 September. Sigal is easy to panorama from the center of Pleven. There is ample parking space. A museum and nature around is incredible.
