Museum of Wine is the fruit of years of efforts of Bulgarian and French architects, wine experts and the Pleven Panorama and History Museum in Pleven. Why Pleven was selected for this unique project? The reason is that the city is considered the first center of the wine industry in Bulgaria. Already in 1890 there was opened the first professional school of Viticulture and Enology. In 1902 created the first National Institute of wine country, this is the time in which Bulgaria became the fourth country in the League of winemakers in Paris.

One of the Balkans wine museum is a place where visitors can purchase and taste over 7000 bottles. It is located in a cave in the park Kailuka, near Pleven. Its collection includes wines aged between 30 and 90 years. Part of the collection includes six contemporary wines from various regions of the country.

The cave, which is a museum you can see 100 French oak barrels, ancient vessels for wine, rhytons phials and drinking the divine drink. All these things make the museum a unique and certainly interesting.
