Plovdiv -House Atanas Krastev

Atanas Vassilev Krastev, who is known as Nacho Culture was born in 1922. It is one of the most iconic and important figures of artistic mythology of the city. Being a longtime leader of the " Old Town " in Plovdiv Municipality Nacho Culture is the main initiator and organizer of the campaign for the restoration of period houses in the old part of town. During his leadership to create creative homes of the Union of Bulgarian Writers - house " Lamartine ," the Union of Bulgarian Artists - " Stambolyanovata house " and the representative houses the Ministry of Culture - House " Pavlina " and the Ministry of Foreign work - " Antonov house ." Atanas Krastev launches already traditional autumn exhibitions in Old Town. By their conduct Plovdiv established itself as a national center for young artists. Among his contributions is the construction of the permanent exhibition - museum Zlatyu Boyadziev and the first celebration of the feasts of the Old Town.

The house itself was built in the early 19th century. The first floor features over 30 portraits of Atanas Krastev, proudly called the " Mayor of Old Town ." On the second floor is arranged an exhibition hall with paintings from his personal collection , including Zlatuy Boyadziev Georgi Bozhilov , Dimitar Kirov .
