Regional Ethnographic Museum - Plovdiv is the second largest in Bulgaria specialized museum of its kind. Founded in 1917, and 1938 is housed in Kuyumdzhieva house in Old Town, a monument of culture. The building is typical of the Renaissance house and one of the most beautiful.

Exhibition presents the rich traditional culture of Thrace, the Rhodopes and Srednogorie from the Renaissance period (XVIII - XIX century). At the permanent exhibition agriculture and livestock are presented as the main occupations of the population of the region. Goldsmith's workshop is exhibited with all its equipment in the museum.
