Price: Levi Shupli Kamuk cave is located in the village Prevala, Municipality Chiprovci located in sparsely populated mountainous area on the border between northwestern part of the region and the western part of the Balkan Mountains. The area is locally known as "Shupli kamik" .
The cave heads to the southeast of the Right Shupli Kamuk. Passes over the spring and reaches a ravine , starting from the top of the dry waterfall, and immediately after that is the entrance to the cave. The distance between the two caves is 28 m
Levi Shupli Kamuk has a length of 342 meters .
The entrance is triangular in shape with dimensions : width 0.50 m and height 0.50 m looking east . After the entrance is low and narrow section that displays a wide , dry galleries. At their lowest point in the floor is a narrow hole that leads into the main , horizontal, water gallery . Along the groundwater flow gallery becomes very low, with no possibility of passing. Go against the flow, where the gallery is high , wide and without branches. In the middle of a small upper floor filled with bodies . The gallery ends with a big, muddy situ , then it is likely to continue. The cave is a constant water . Underground stream emerges as a spring located 20 m lower than the entrance to the base of the cliffs to the right of the dry waterfall. Flows through the rock bridge and into the river Prevalska Ogosta . Penetration time is approximately 1 hour.
Rock Bridge and springs have long been known . The location is picturesque and is frequented by locals . There is an assumption that the spring possibly connected with a cave , but due to the very small size of the hole penetrating through it is possible. This , higher positioned dry entrance is discovered after digging up of local people and their information cave surveying and mapping of SC "Pastrinets " - city Montana in 1993.
In the area there are other caves that require special training and equipment and would be of interest to experienced cavers and tourists.
At the foot of the village there are traces of constructions . It was discovered and broken marble column with the symbol of the Roman ' Hawks ( Falcone ) . " Of Crni vrh ( Black Peak ) found traces of consecrated ground , carved stone slabs, dedicated to the Roman legion , drawings of Roman eagles and other reliefs. To the defeat of the Chiprovsko uprising against Crni peak beyond the springs of Ogosta there was Catholic monastery , the seat of the Archbishop . North on the rocky peak that because the source of the top locals called shithead , was a Roman fort which according treasure hunting stories ever had " Roman Bank " . Probably in the region were present workshops for minting .
