In 1947 in Razgrad is built theater group to community center county council. With the new solution The chief of National Council formed a new , permanent library staff to "Development " called Razgrad Theatre . On 25.04.1948 year decided Razgrad district theater, changes in municipal. In 1953 was named the National Theatre at the Municipal People's Council. He's got the status of National Theatre in 1957. Since 1957, the status is not changed and the theater has always been a State repertory theater .
Over the years, the name changes frequently , municipal , local, district . The present name has since 1972 received during the 25 - year anniversary . In September 2003 he opened a new theater and cultural complex. Theatre moved into the new building. During the month of July 2010 merged Music and Drama Theater in Razgrad.
Over the last 10-15 years in the theater work creates a group of younger players - Veselin Borisov, Veselin Keremidchiev , Evgeni Stefanov, Nikolai Syarov . With the talent they bring gradual , smooth generational change .
Latest new national and international ideas and schools of acting profession carry the young actors who have passed through the theater - Ivaylo Gandev - Gandhi, Detelina Stoicheva, Aidan Ferruh and Pavlin Mitchev .
