Price: The route is not very difficult physically , but requires significant experience in mountaineering . From Hut "Fish ponds " it takes to Mermerski Preslap then climbs steeply to Riletsko part of Rila . The route follows the ridge , but if you prefer to save power , you can bypass ( sweeped ) Rilets peaks ( 2713 m altitude ) , Theodosius Karauli ( 2666 m ) and Baba ( 2609 m ) .
In clear weather, the beauty of which can be enjoyed from the summit of Riletsko share is indescribable . In all directions reveals the greatness of Middle Rila that many hikers call the heart of the highest mountain on the Balkan Peninsula. From here on a clear day can be seen all over the Rila , if we exclude the hidden part of the Musala share . Particularly inspiring , however, is the view of Maljovitza share with Maliovitsa peak ( 2729 m ) .
Near the Valley of Rilska river reveal the splendor of two of the most beautiful lakes in the mountain groups - Monasteries and Dzhendems and beauty of several gullies running down from the ridge to the river. The trail continues , passing through the saddle between the peaks Baba ( 2609 m ) and Cherney ( 2489 m ), where visible cave where it is believed that Saint Ivan Rilski has spent most of his life.
On both sides of Mount Baba track splits and each person can choose in which direction to continue. One trail descends and reaches just over the Rila Monastery , while the other continues to follow the crest of the hill all the way until it starts to go down to the place where the river valleys Iliyna and Rilska collected. After the monastery hill is known by another name - Brichebor .
Moving from hut "Fish ponds " to the Rila Monastery is full of memorable experiences. The surrounding terrain is rich in plants and animals, including some of the rarest species of flora and fauna. Keen hikers can see beautiful flowers and herbs as well as encounter mountain goats , eagles , wolves, even bears. The experience is well worth both the risks and exercise .
