Yakorudskite lakes are glacial lakes located in Yakorudski circus in the territory of the National Park "Rila" . Lake Group consists of six lakes, three of which are very small and shallow and dry up in the summer . Yakorudskite circus is enclosed between the peaks Suha vala and Kovach . Blue Lake is the highest lakes in the group , just below the peak dry shaft 2,353 meters altitude. It is the smallest of all Yakoruda lakes with an area of 0.86 hectares . Drains into Fish Lake and thus gives rise to large Banenski River - a tributary of the Mesta. Fish Lake ( 2191 m asl ) is characterized by a typical elongated shape . Depth reaches up to 4.5 meters, and the area - 2.87 ha . Dead Lake is located at 2292 meters altitude. It is the largest and deepest lake in the group - of up to 4.27 ha and a depth of 16.5 meters. Typical of it is rocky western and northern shores and muddy bottom. Artificially stocked with trout, but every five years spews gas that kills her . This fact is due to the name of the lake . The starting point to Yakorudskite Lakes is area Nehtenitsa . From there you should take the road and pass through the valley of the great river Banenski . The walk is not heavy and the road is steep. Can bypass the Fish and the Dead lake in lame , and there you will find a nice trail that takes you to a stone river . Take the steep chute drain Uluka to climb the ridge. From there the peak Kovach can take the trail to Mount Musala . Panoramic views that will reveal to you are worth the climb .
