Museum of Transport and Communications in Rousse is located near the Youth Park. The museum is unique in Bulgaria and is located in building of the first railway station. National Transport Museum was established on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of railways in Bulgaria in 1996.

Station Rousse, where the museum was built between 1864 - 1866, and was active until 1954, and today the building is declared a historical monument. The three departments of the museum tell the story of the development of rail transport, inland navigation and communications.

The exhibition, which is located in the building of the museum, you can check communication equipment, rich pictures, documents, personal belongings of mobile workers as well as banners and leaflets that will tell the story of transportation here. On track to the station are at many locomotives and cars, including locomotive and first wagon-hall Sultan Abdul Azis of 1866, coach of Tsar Boris III and Marshal Tolbukhin wagon. Another interesting exhibit is made in Newcastle in 1866 locomotive 148. It is one of the first locomotives delivered at home and was carrying passengers and mail on the first railway line Rousse - Varna to 1901

The museum has a library. Saturday and Sunday Museum of Transport is working only on request. The fee for internal exposure is 4 leva, and external - 6 leva if you want to get on the carriages.
