This stretch of the river is one of the best, since the Romanian and Bulgarian side nature is almost untouched by human hand.
Nearby there are numerous small islands, bays and flooded half (especially if you come in early spring or late fall) of river forest, so it's definitely something to see. If you are keen on fishing, you can try your luck in many places because the river in this stretch its not very visited.
To the end point of this route, city Tutrakan, leads almost seamlessly. Flow helps in rowing, the cool air and beautiful scenery make it so that it is in doubt whether you really want to go back where you came from, and plenty of beautiful views take your breath away. In and around Tutrakan has many cultural, natural and historical attractions which are worth taking the time, although they remain away from the main tourist destinations.
