Ecopath Uzunov kamak - Smilyan

Ecopath " Uzunov stone - Smilyan " began in the area Uzunov stone above the village of Gorna Arda, where the conditions are created for a barbecue and a pleasant stay in the picturesque scenery of the Central Rhodopes . From the river to the place Grandpa transition is relatively light , not particularly serious climbs .

The route continues east through meadows, offering temptation speechless at the amazing views of endless mountain ridges and secluded valleys. Hardly , however, you can imagine what panoramas await you after in majestic beech and oak forests reach Kyoshka area . In ancient times, the town was a road connecting the Thracian Plain in Kavala on the Aegean coast . Pavement still evident in places. North of the shelter , built in the area kiosk stands Rhodope Kom , who according to the excavations was a Thracian sanctuary and then one of the last strongholds captured by the Ottoman Turks . From the shelter at Kyoshka path climbs steeply and reaches the PS pastures near the village of Grays. There's a big field of Rhodope cream (Lilium rhodopaeum Delip). It was at this place is discovered and described for the first time that a Bulgarian endemic flora plant.

In the Rhodope Mountains are just a few places, which the plant resides. Lawn is particularly impressive at the end of July , when, from a specially created site you can enjoy literally cover January Rhodope creams . Hence the route passes through the village of gray and continues 10 km to Smilyan . Go to the north , along the river Sivinska , which is included in the European network of protected areas Natura 2000 .
