Modern Art Gallery

The first of its kind in our Gallery of Modern Art opened in Sofia on 17 December 2009. The gallery presents works of museum quality and has the most important private collection of original graphic works of famous masters of the 20th century, Picasso, Chagall, Mirό, Matisse, Dali and others. Postwar American art is presented with the names of Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Robert Indiana. Important place in the permanent collection take work and modern artists like Keith Haring, American neo-expressionist Hunt Slonam, British conceptualist Damien Hirst and other world renowned artists. Bulgarian touch in the exhibition are several works by Christo, the projects in Berlin and Abu Dhabi lanes of Houben Cherkelov, who works in America, artist of Bulgarian origin Jules Pascin. Listed authors are established and well positioned in the global art market, and their works were the subject of extensive collector interest.

The gallery has many interesting projects. Organized a competition for Bulgarian contemporary art in support of young Bulgarian artists, giving them new opportunities for creativity and professional development at local and international level. Evening "work-shop", called "Art Relax", allows anyone who wants to diversify their everyday lives and learn more about fine arts. For young artists gallery offers "Art School" where children draw and develop their imagination, become familiar with the big names in the art and all the while having fun.

The gallery is very interesting, accessible and allows anyone to touch the great artists and their works. There is a modern gallery near Kavarna in the village Bozhurets. If you organize a visit should call in advance.
