Price: Negovansko Lake is a lake located south of the village Negovan , Sofia. In the past it was part of the big Negovanski swamp. Prior to 2005 the lake was completely different shapes and sizes and has been an area of approximately 45 hectares. After the great flood in 2005 , it increases its surface area and volume and to date has reached a size of 50.5 hectares . Converted in ballast , and the majority of the lakes located in the Sofia Valley . The area around Lake Negovanski used as pasture .
Lake should not be confused with Lake Negovanka , which is part of one of the oldest trails in Bulgaria - Eemenskata trail , near Veliko Tarnovo.
Negovansko lake brings glory among anglers as a place for "large predators ." Located about 10 kilometers from the capital, the place attracts many fishermen around because of legends that tell the locals that here can be captured large freshwater fish . Since the lake is used for the extraction of sand on its bottom were formed many deep holes that are ideal prerequisites and habitat of larger predatory fish such as pike naprimer. Near is also the " five hills ", which is declared a monument of culture as a necropolis . It is only about two kilometers south of the village it and consists of seven Thracian burial mounds.
